Crackdown 2 will still be in Pacific City… but it won’t look the same

Crackdown 2 is probably the only title in development right now that I can already guarantee I will buy no matter how the development goes. I can’t wait to get back to leaping through Pacific City finding orbs and smashing completely underpowered gangsters into walls.

Some new information has been revealed during an interview with Edge magazine.

First things first, Crackdown 2 is still going to be based in Pacific City but time has moved on and as such the entire city looks pretty different. We can still expect the Agency Tower and 3 main islands though…

The game will be keeping it’s freeform nature and the developers have stated that they will not be attempting to shoe horn a dialogue driven story into it which is great news to me personally.

They also reveal that around half of the original Crackdown team are working on the sequel even though the developer itself has been changed.

Apart from that the game sounds like it’s going to be very similar to the original just with more polished graphics and improved technology. Sounds great to me.
