I’ve always been wary of MMO’s on account of my somewhat addictive personality (current addictions : Boobs, beer, and being awesome). One MMO that has poked my interest with a particularly pointy stick is DC Universe online – probably because I’ve always wanted to wear my underpants on the outside.
I applied for the beta – and got in, but had huge, recurring connection issues downloading the 17gb’s necessary to actually play anything. Among those that have played it, opinions have differed, with some praising the game – and others complaining that it’s beset by technical difficulties (read : frequent crashes).
Hopefully, all those issues are sorted by the time it releases – which locally is this Friday, 14 January next Friday, 21 January. The game will allow you to create your own hero (Captain Vajayjay!) and fight along side – or against – DC’s most iconic heroes and villains. Each copy is shipped with a 30 day pass, but monthly or lifetimes subscriptions will be required thereafter.

Who is reviewing this game so I’ll know who to play with.

This is likely going to end up being reviewed by Nick. If not, I’d be happy to review it – and happy to play with you. 😀

Apparently the game has been delayed until next Friday… still waiting on an official confirmation of that though.
