Destiny going offline for a bit

I haven’t played Destiny in weeks, and I don’t plan on returning soon. I do know that millions of other people are still playing though and loving every social second, and I’m glad not everyone found it to be a waste of hard money. So if you’re one of those people, here’s a heads up on some server downtime.

Destiny servers will be down for a considerable chunk of time tomorrow, as Bungie prepares servers for future updates and content injections over the next few weeks. You won’t be able to deliver any Guardian justice from around 8:00 a.m PT (that’s 6:00 p.m for us locally), with maintenance expected to take at least four hours.

Bungie has already detailed some of the changes on the way, including purchase previews, more frequent public events and new shaders to kit out your gear. Updates will also grow the Cryptarch’s heart in ways that would make even The Grinch jealous. Or so we hope.

So what can you do to pass the time? Well we’re deep into the silly season for games right now, so there’s almost too much to keep you occupied during some downtime. Load up some Call of Duty, give some multiplayer a whirl and keep your aiming eye locked in. That’s what I’d do.

I think the question should be “When isn’t it broken?”

Hopefully they get it right with the DLC, with it being an always online game there is still time to get there in my opinion!! If the first two DLC’s are good and give us more on the story then I will definitely put up money for the rest!!

Next DLC has no new planet, a few missions on the existing planets and one new strike. That’s it. I had great expectations for this game and they missed the mark. One thing I will give kudos too; the game works.

I just hope they get their missions layout correct!! If they have some new ideas of how a mission should progress I am in!!
The game has the best gameplay I have had this whole year, the controls is easy to get, the players response time is brilliant and you feel the difference between being a Titan tank and a nimble Hunter… I still play at least 3 times a week, especially if in Fifa I don’t seem to control my own players and lose because the game didn’t do what I told it to….

I faced my Destiny, it is to participate in a raid and get armor from a random number generator which allows me to reach the level 30 cap. Either that or be stuck in limbo on level 28 doing the same things over for no reason other to gain Ascendant shards and energies.

I feel your pain. We did the Raid on Tuesday night. I got the sum total of 23 effing shards, dude, 23 of the fuckers. Not one piece of armour, no guns effall. So much for random. I would really, really like them Hezen boots, that’s all I need to get to level 30.

I agree, it was a waste of precious money. I am really disappointed in Destiny. I should have saved my dough for a Witcher 3 Collectors Edition
