Some days, I honestly have no idea why I still play certain games. Take Diablo 3 for instance. I love the game, make no mistake, but I have realised that at this point, I’m bashing away at my controller to inflict higher numbers of damage on foes in order to gain higher numbers of power that my enemies will soon scale their numbers to. It’s a vicious and never-ending cycle and holy crap that little treasure goblin bastard just dropped a legendary mace!
Patch 2.2.0 hits Diablo 3. Besides the usual amount of tweaks, balances and whatnot, the latest update will throw plenty of other new content into the game. Primarily, all-new sets of legendary armour with which to quest after. Armour that is totally “Kll-Kllk”. New sets include Unhallowed Essence, Wrath of the Wastes, and Delsere’s Magnum Opus. Existing sets of armour such as Zunimassa’s Haunt, Raiment of a Thousand Storms, Roland’s Legacy, Tal Rasha’s Elements, Inna’s Mantra, Natalya’s Vengeance, and Immortal King’s Call will be redesigned with a few of them even getting some new buffs.
A new type of bounty, Exploration, will also be added to the game. Exploration will set players on a quest to explore an area in order to locate NPCs, in 14 different bounties. Adventure Mode will of course, have far more bounties of this nature to fool around in. Finally, Nephalem and Greater Rift tilesets will feature more variety thanks to tilesets being overhauled.
