I need to watch this conference again. Sony delivered a pretty decent conference, bar a couple really annoying bits and pieces. They should have been conservative in the amount of time they gave the suits. Anyway, I give them a B-.

So mostly remakes and Indies…..AGAIN! Very mediocre, but not too bad I guess. Although they’re haemorrhaging money, they’ll really need to invest in some exclusives/ exclusive AAA’s down the line, really had nothing to show in that department! MS trumped them in the end for sure!

I have to agree with you – I REALLY was expecting MS to blow us away. Now I am not saying their conference was bad, not by a long shot, but it didn’t have those two or three mind-blowing games announced/shown. Everything I saw was expected…
Still makes my life difficult as to whether I bite the bullet when One releases here in SA…
I just was expecting more.
As for Sony, I will leave my reaction until I have watched everything.

I was genuinely shocked at how little of “new” MS had to show, considering all the hype leading into it. All I really got from it was some remake of a game I never heard of, bunch of indies, some interesting thing with dragons, and Crackdown 3 (yawn).

This was Phil’s first year and he did a stellar job. Sony presentation was dull and buggy without Jack. Most of it was about TV, beta access, Drakes face, HD Remakes and some Indies. Where did Media Molecule go?

With no new IP AAA titles they only had multiplats, Indies and HD remakes to show off and filled the rest of their timeslot with TV TV TV! If this was their “plan B”, “plan A” really had to have sucked! LOL! Sony was a little bit too confident going into E3 and that clearly showed with the bs they tried to pull off! ????

There are new IPs like Bloodborn,Entwined and Abzu(from the guys who made Journey) Then the exclusives like Bro Force,The Last of US and Uncharted 4. Then there’s F2P games like Kingdom Under Fire 2 and Planetside 2 coming as well which are exclusive to PC and PS
So the games are there and I just mentioned the exclusives mind. The reality you need to face is that the likely hood of XBOX exclusives like Titanfall and Dead Rising 3 has gone to PC and though I’m not a fan of Titanfall, DR3 will fit nicely on my PC.
So I’m wondering more and more if I should buy a XBOX One.

PS4 has the superior visuals on all console AAA multiplats, more dev support including indies, a large number of first party studios, free to play games and MMOs like FFXIV and War Thunder, and unannounced 1st party games. Titanfall 2 and future 3rd party games will almost certainly be on PS4.
1st-2nd party studios include Media Molecule, Quantic Dream, Guerilla Games, Sony London, Bend, San Diego, SOE, Santa Monica, Polyphony Digital, Naughty Dog, Japan Studio, Ready at Dawn, Evolution Studios, etc.

Dude. I actually went to bed after the EA conference because I was bored outta my skull and caught up this morning on the rest of the reveals. Bloodborne was the only title I have thus far enjoyed seeing and that was from $ony. As an old Xbox fan there was nothing compelling for me in the M$ lineup although I would prob give Halo 5 a bash and I REALLY want that controller.
Only thing that interests me on X1 atm is Forza 5 and to a lesser degree Halo. UFC and Batman I can play on any console.
