EA Sports are not interested in 3D

In what could probably be seen as the biggest kick back against 3D gaming so far the EA Sports Boss, Peter Moore, has told CVG that they aren’t going to be developing any 3D games anytime soon.

He doesn’t feel that gamers are willing to sacrifice their 60fps titles, seeing that 3D titles can only run at a max of 30fps, and you know what? I have to agree with him.

But then again I am really not a fan of 3D and see it as an overpriced gimmick, that is until they can show me 3D without the glasses.

He goes on to also say that 3D also simply doesn’t work for a lot of their titles like FIFA and Madden as both are played from a top down perspective which will benefit very little from any 3D effect.

I guess they could do replays in 3D and we would simply need to slap the glasses on everytime we have a reply… yeah that sounds like fun.

3D games just doesn’t do it for me, and that’s not to say I don’t appreciate or enjoy 3D movies in the cinema (I’m actually keen to see Legend of the Guardians in 3D). :ninja:
