Mars war Logs 2

While we’re all pretty much miffed out with some game developers these days, for making the same old generic crap or compromising their games for the “new age of gaming”, there are development studios still doing it right, even if they aren’t considered AAA. Spiders Games in my opinion is joining the ranks of studios like CD Projekt Red, developing games the way they should be developed.

Spiders have treated us to four new tasty screenshots for their upcoming cyberpunk RPG set on the Red Planet, showing some of the obstacles Roy (protagonist) and his companions have to face on their journey.

In Mars: War Logs a world is in the midst of civil war. Mutants, religious fanatics and bandits kill for water on Mars, where human enclaves led by tyrants and dangerous slums are the norm after the planet-wide cataclysm 200 years before.

“Mars also features treacherous landscapes and a murderous sun. If solar radiation doesn’t strip your skin off, the dangerous creatures will take on the task with incredible ferocity.“ – Spider Games

And if you missed it, here’s the first trailer, released in December of 2012.

I honestly have a lot more faith in these guys than the big dev studios, at least you know they aren’t developing for publishers demanding all sorts of new crap we don’t care about…

This is true! The smaller guys are still doing for the real reason: love of the game! (heh, couldn’t resist that one liner)
