This week we saw the release of the Gears of War 3 Horde Command Pack, a DLC add-on that is by definition not downloadable content at all, nor is it additional content. That’s right, a measly little 1.5 MB download simply unlocked a bunch of character models, skins, maps and more that have been sitting on the disc ever since the day that you bought the game.
Do developers have the right to hold back content already finished by the time they go gold or have they lost the sense of pride in their work that would make them want to deliver the absolute best product that they can pump out in the given timeframe?
I’ve discussed this with a lot of people and heard interesting arguments from both camps, but today you get to have your say in the matter. Tell us what you think.
