As cool as new IP and new gaming ideas are, sometimes there’s the comfort of nostalgia; something old and faithful, or a barely remembered that would be great to go back to.

With recent news that the Reboot TV show was being given a reboot, and the successful games we’ve seen the past few years that have had successful reboots – such as Xcom, Tomb Raider, Deus Ex and soon, Thief, I was wondering – what games from the past would you like to see given some loving reboot action?

I’d love to see Little Big Adventure, which you might know as Relentless: Twinsen’s Adventure, and I’ve been waiting for what seems forever now for Just Add Water’s Abe’s Odyssey. Erwin will undoubtedly harp on about Blackthorne again – but I do agree with him, Blizzard needs to resurrect that, along with another of its gems, The Lost Vikings. and while we’re on that, it’s bloody well time for a new Gobliiins.

Plus, I’d play the hell out of a new Dune RTS that wasn’t rubbish. Any of you ever play Moonstone: A Hard Days Knight, or Eye of the Beholder? I want more of that. Also, apparently I’m really old.

What games would you like to see given a good, loving reboot?

Editor. I'm old, grumpy and more than just a little cynical. One day, I found myself in possession of a NES, and a copy of Super Mario Bros 3. It was that game that made me realise that games were more than just toys to idly while away time - they were capable of being masterpieces. I'm here now, looking for more of those masterpieces.
