Buy, consume, sleep and repeat again. Square Enix certainly knows how to leverage a property to its full potential (Hell, Compilation of Final Fantasy VII is still active) and you can bet your Moogle that Final Fantasy XV will be rolling out in several flavours. To be exact, there’ll be a trio of different Final Fantasy XV packages available from day one, from the regular ol’ special edition through to the ludicrously expensive.

While local prices will differ here (We’re checking with President Gupta on this one), Final Fantasy XV will be available in a $60 Day One Edition, $90 Deluxe Edition and a mind-blowing $270 Ultimate Collector’s Edition. What’s inside the numerous boxes covered in slick-ass packaging? Why, the following goodies:

Day One Edition

FF Special editions (1)

  • Final Fantasy XV game
  • Masamune weapon
  • Two Xbox Live Avatars, Noctis Special Outfit and Carbuncle pet (Xbox pre-order bonus)
  • Dynamic PS4 theme (PS4 pre-order bonus)

Deluxe Edition

FF Special editions (2)

  • Final Fantasy XV game (Well…duh)
  • Steelbook cover featuring Yoshitaka Amano illustrations
  • Kingsglaive: Final Fantasy on Blu-ray
  • Royal Raiment outfit
  • Masamune weapon
  • Platinum Leviathan car skin

Ultimate Collector’s Edition

FF Special editions (3)

  • Final Fantasy XV game again (Better be pressed on a Blu-Ray made out of leftover Final Fantasy: Spirits Within discs that never sold)
  • Steelbook cover featuring Yoshitaka Amano illustrations
  • Kingsglaive: Final Fantasy on Blu-ray
  • Royal Raiment outfit
  • Masamune weapon
  • Platinum Leviathan car skin
  • Brotherhood: Final Fantasy on Blu-ray
  • Official soundtrack
  • Play Arts Kai Noctis figure
  • Hardcover 192-page art book
  • In-game item bundles: Travel Pack, Camera Kit, Angler Set, Gourmand Set
  • Damn son, look at that packaging

Naturally, they’ll roll out for the September 30 launch of Final Fantasy XV, which has already claimed the lives of dozens of otaku in related joygasm attacks. Good luck getting your hands on that Ultimate Collector’s Edition however, as that has apparently already sold out on PS4.

I keep seeing two versions of the steelbook, one with the game logo, console logo and rating, and one where its just the art, no logos which leads me to believe that all of the logos are on a clear plastic slipcover that goes over the steelbook, is this correct?
