First footage of Dishonoured shows off gritty, gruesome action and murders

2 min read

Remember Dishonoured? It was announced last year, and so far, it’s shaping up to be a fantastic spiritual successor to classic games such as Thief, mixing fantasy with steampunk elements, alongside a morality system that might make an actual difference in the in-game world, instead of just a few cosmetic changes.

Corvo, bodyguard to a dead queen, has been betrayed by the parties responsible for her literal dethroning, setting him on the path of revenge. We’ve heard lots of talk about the game so far, but we’ve seen very little of it in action.

Until today that is, as Gamespot has just loaded up some new footage of Dishonoured, with Harvey Smith and Raphael Colantonio from developers Arkane talking about the title, which is due for release later this year on PC, PS3 and Xbox 360.

Something wrong gentlemen? You come here prepared to read the words of a madman, and instead found a lunatic obsessed with comics, Batman and Raul Julia's M Bison performance in the 1994 Street Fighter movie? Fine! Keep your bio! In fact, now might be a good time to pray to it!
