I thoroughly enjoyed playing The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing. It was a fun game filled with all the hack and slash loot-em-up adventuring that I could ask for. But now it’s getting a sequel, and this trailer makes me want to play it.
For those who don’t watch videos, it starts as a fake tourism/propaganda video detailing all the glories of Borgovia. It really is worth listening to as they detail all the wonderful aspects of Borgovia, when in fact it is an ARPG heaven of monsters, death and destruction. With fantastic voice over and great visuals, it is quite an amusing start to the trailer.
Following on that, we’re told that next year new areas of Borgovia will be opened up to visitors, complete with more stunning visuals. Wow that game looks pretty.
My biggest issue with the first installment was that I wanted more – I wanted more base defending, more interaction, more quests. It seems that Neocore is going to be bringing all that, and even more in the next installment. I know people are calling Path of Exile the “Diablo Killer”, but I certainly wouldn’t rule out the appeal of The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing. It is truly fun, and I’d jump back in just to hear more snarky comments from Lady Katarina.
