Gamescom 2013 – Dragon Age Inquisition

48 second read

Next up, the expected Inquisition. Or more specifically, Dragon Age Inquisition. We get a deeper look at the game, thanks to a dev diary.

Dragon Age Inquisition is described as "a visually stunning next-generation RPG experience", where Bioware shows the backstory of the game.

The world has undergone some kind of event, where the veil that keeps demons away from our world has been “torn asunder”. Inquisition seems to be big on customisation, and as the head Inquistor, you’ll be marshalling your forces to save the world from the demon menace and find out who was responsible for unleashing these hordes on the world.

As Inquistor, you also have authority over citizens, and moral decisions to make such as "should you stop this village from burning or let it burn?".

Dragon Age Inquisition is due out in fall 2014.

Don’t forget ME3 as well. So this game will not have copy/paste levels and the ending won’t be colour coded but the same. I need to secure my saves for this.

DA: inquisition is just practise for the master race: Mass Effect.
I hope it isnt terribad, but wont be heartbroken if it is, so long as it results in a beyond awesome Mass Effect 4.

You are not allowed to call it that. Numbers in the gaming world are evil and therefore should never go beyond 2. So use my placeholder instead. Mass Effect:Untitled. 😛

True, but Mass Effect is only practice for the ruler race: Baldur’s Gate remake!

I missed the feed, but i’ll remain cautiously optimistic. Bioware has a lot to prove.

This game is going to be awesome Bioware have learned from their past mistakes and want to make up for ME3’s terrible original ending and DA2 which is why they are pulling in all their recourses and taking an extra year for development so that thy can give the fans the same experience if not better than the one in origins the return of the multiple races is proof they want to make right and yes people are already complaining about the gameplay looking rubbish but they forget its pre-alpha gameplay meaning that its still in development and being improved Bioware aren’t going to mess this up they want to do right by their fans apologise for their past mistakes and give a massive middle finger to their former overlords EA. Have faith people Dragon Age Inquisition is going to be AWSOME 🙂

I really hope you are right. I’m trying to stay cautiously optimistic for the moment. That ME3 ending and DA2 overall just left me really lacking confidence. But it does seem like they are taking it seriously and trying to do it right this time. Hopefully they can feel that everyone is really watching this. Can’t just let the reputation from their great games carry them.

Taking their time is a good sign though. This does sound good, I just don’t want to overly hype myself up and be disappointed again.

inb4 Hawks sister is responsible for breaking that veil.
Hopefully this one is less cookie cutter than DA2

I believe it is either Morrigan or the Child or the Eluvian. Then again the Child was based off choice and the Eluvian has been used before so there would be little reason for it to break down now and kill us all so my first choice is Morrigan. I won’t believe Bethany could do something that bad even by mistake.

Bethany could have died, based on your choices so shes out
