Gamescom 2014 – Rise of the Tomb Raider exclusive to Xbox

1 min read

The Tomb Raider reboot from last year was a pretty solid game and earlier this year we found out that a sequel was in the works. What we didn’t know was that Rise of the Tomb Raider is in fact a Xbox exclusive.

Announced during the Microsoft press conference at Gamescom, the next chapter in this new Lara Croft saga will only be coming to Microsoft’s platforms. No PC, no PlayStation. Who else feels stupid for just assuming it would be multi-platform?

There were no new details about the titles, other than the fact that it’ll be releasing during the holiday season next year. Also, Microsoft weren’t saying “Xbox One” exclusive, which means we could see it on older hardware as well.

Well played Microsoft. Very well played.
