Gamescom 2014–Sunset Overdrive coming 31 October 2014

1 min read

The Xbox is putting a lot of faith in the brand new franchise Sunset Overdrive, and while the game looks like a lot of fun and the humour really hits me where it counts, I’m still not entirely sold on the idea.

I am stupidly excited to give the game a try though, and Microsoft may have just given many of us a great reason to splash the cash on an Xbox One because the Sunset Overdrive bundle looks pretty awesome.

For $399 you can pick up a sexy white Xbox One with matching controller and a downloadable copy of Sunset Overdrive.

I’ve already confirmed with Microsoft South Africa that this bundle, along with the Call of Duty bundle, will be landing locally at the same time. Unfortunately pricing has not been released yet but we are expecting it to be around R6700 if current pricing is taken into account.

If you haven’t seen much of Sunset Overdrive then you are going to want to watch this video which gives you an idea of exactly what the game is about and the insanity that is going to be unleashed on you in October.  This is the exact trailer that was showcased at Gamescom 2014. I dream of the day when these trailers are given to us in time so that I don’t need to steal them from others.

The game and bundle will be released worldwide on the 31st of October 2014.
