Most of the time, I feel welcomed and included in the local gaming scene. South African gamers have been great to me. However, I often notice that a ton of people seemed to know each other from many years back; apparently, everyone used to play Gears of War together, and nothing I can say or do will replicate that level of bonding. But maybe we can recreate that with Gears of War: Ultimate Edition, right? Right? Hello, is anyone there?
Make room on your Xbox One, Gears of War: Ultimate Edition will probably be one of those permanently installed titles. At least, that will be the case on Gavin’s console. Weighing in at 44.42GB of storage space, it’s about 7x bigger than the original Xbox 360 version. Of course, this is a fully remastered version with improved lighting, character models and environments and five additional chapters. Plus, you can play 1080p/60fps multiplayer – I’ll believe that when I see it.
If you’re planning to get all the Gamerscore you can out of Gears of War, again, you’re looking at grabbing most of the same achievements. With a total of 1250 Gamerscore, here’s what you’ll be doing in order to hear that oh-so-satisfying ding sound when the achievement pops up:

Will you be grabbing this again, or did you play it enough back in the 360 days? Geoff says that the “Seriously” achievement was a real pain in the ass to get. Are you going to try?

I bought a Wii once to softmod it and use it for UPnP and media center purposes… The POS couldnt even go HD so I threw it against a wall. My 8 year Xbox original can stream movies better than that POS..

I see they removed the “Party like its 1999” the one where you had to play like 2000 matches. Took me a good 4 months to get that one.

Hahaha. @nxtrms and I got that one by just crouching behind the first barrier and throwing all our grenades at Raam after shooting 1 torque bow shot at him to scatter the krill, and then putting 2 more torque shots into his face. Battle over in 15 seconds. Was rough as hell, took about 15 attempts using just that strategy… not counting the gazillion other strats we tried… Cant wait to do it all over again 🙂
