Getting your head in the game – Project Immersion

1 min read

A guy who goes by the name of Robbie Cooper has been working on a rather interesting project that goes by the name of “Project Immersion”.

What he has done is project games onto a large camera lens so that he can film children playing video games whilst having them stare directly at the camera. Testing the children with different titles such as Call of Duty, Halo 3, Tekken, GTA IV and Star Wars: Battlefront, he has created a means to really study the different types of reactions and facial expressions that are generated whilst playing the games.

The video is quite intriguing to say the least due to the fact that you have the children staring straight at you and the pull and immersion of the games is incredibly evident, although some of the faces will just make you laugh.

If you are interested or want to know more about the project, follow the link below as it goes into quite a lot of depth about the entire project.
