Grand Theft Auto more expensive on the PS3?

1 min read

Some retailers in the UK have been publishing the final prices for GTAIV and at the moment things are not looking good for the PS3 fans.

Apparently the PS3 version is retailing for 5 pounds more than the 360 version and this trend is expected to be followed by everyone else.

That’s around R70 more and for a game that doesn’t give you access to the exclusive DLC either. If you have both consoles it has become blatantly apparent which version you should be picking up.

However that is not to say that an extra R70 is a show stopper if you only have a PS3, this game is shaping up to be an awesome experience and if it is anything like Bully (which I have been playing this weekend) then it is well worth whatever price tag is going to be slapped on it.

However there is some good news for the PS3 guys, BTGames is now taking pre-orders for both the Xbox 360 and PS3 limited editions and the PS3 version is coming in R100 cheaper….. If this pricing is final then we can thank SterKinekor for being able to do this as R905 for this limited edition really is a good price. Click the image to place your order

Interesting, but have you checked out Take2 recently:

PS3 version seems to be cheaper than the XBOX360, this is the Limited edition.

Maybe I should get my PS3 order in now 😀

Pre-order prices can change. I paid R629 from R429 for a FORZA 2 Limited Edition!!!

So it seems like someone was trying to rip of PS3 owners then?

I wonder if they are going to get slapped by Sony now 😉
