Okay we are all aware that Microsoft paid $50 million to get some exclusive DLC for Grand Theft Auto IV but has the Don released some huge news into the community by mistake?
Don Mattrick, Head of Xbox, has been speaking to Larry Nelson about the upcoming game and had the following to say
It’s an amazing piece of software and I’m really excited with its downloadable content and online multiplayer support
Again, that’s something that’s unique to 360. We think consumers are going to love that and it’s going to create, what I would describe again as the premium experience on our platform
So did he just say that the multi-player element of Grand Theft Auto IV is exclusive to the Xbox 360? Or was he just referring to the DLC part?
GTA is a huge title for Europe and that is the current battle ground so if Microsoft has managed to get an exclusive deal on the multi-player element it would be a huge blow to the PS3, and would go a long way to explaining why they didn’t moan about the PS3 induced delay.[Update]This has already been denied by Rockstar so I wrote all of that for nothing. Multi-player will be a part of both platforms.
