Now that there are some concrete details about the Nintendo DSi, Joystiq has made a very nice little hardware comparison chart comparing the DSi to the PSP-3000 and Apple’s “gaming handheld” the iPhone/iPod Touch.
Notes:
1: Approximate size, based on Nintendo’s assertion that DSi is 12 percent thinner than DS Lite
Interesting points to note are the incredible processing power of the iPhone, compared to the other 2, the fact that all three now have their own application stores and the fact that out of the box the PSP is the only one without a camera and of course a touch screen. I would however also note that although not mentioned as far as input methods are concerned, the PSP is the only one to feature an analogue stick.
Over all on paper, Apples offering looks like by far the best bet, too bad its so far behind in the “games I’d actually like to play” department it almost doesn’t feature at all.

Not too mention the cost difference between the iPhone VS PSP/DSi

I also use my Lumines player for movies quite often. Especially when we went through that patch of getting load shed often.

My DS plays moves, music, ebooks, browses the web, receives and send email… and that is DS lite + extra memory card…

They haven’t factored in battery life in that comparison and seeing as all 3 are handhelds, I think it’s VERY relevant. The DS as movie player is absolute rubbish. I have one and it plain sucks. The PSP can play full movies and you don’t need any converters, unless you are going the illegal route as it plays them off UMD discs.
Both the iPhone and PSP look pretty hot playing back video designed for them.
You cannot compare the processor speeds in the PSP to the iPhone as they are completely different architectures. The PSP architecture tailored for gaming, not being a PDA.

Do you assume the iPhone processor is more powerfull because it runs at a higher speed? Clock speed is not a measure of processing power.
And as Maxim said, you can not compare them, they are completely different architectures
