Headtracking coming to GT5?

One of the under marketed features of the upcoming GT5 is the ability to have your head tracked using the PSEye in game.

Basically what this would mean is that when you turn your head the picture on screen will move as well and the idea behind it is to make the game feel more immersive.

The problem with this idea is that you need to keep looking at the same point while turning your head otherwise you won’t see where you are going. This is physically possible but not realistic which defeats the point of doing it really?

However it’s a nice idea and if you have a PSEye already there is no reason not to at least give it a bash, you never know it may be fun.

On that note, check out the cool video below showing what awesome things can be done using head tracking on the PS3.

You never know, in a couple more years it may even be as powerful as the Wii

Sounds good in theory, in practice I cannot wait for youtube fumbles during a serious race!

The thing is… if you want to see who is on your left dont you have to LOOK LEFT when you turn your head in that direction thus you wont see whats going on in the game?
