Here’s a new Batman: Arkham Knight gameplay trailer!

We’re pretty excited for Arkham Knight, the next Batman game from Rocksteady. For one, it features the batmobile. It’s also not a half-baked and broken, buggy prequel. And for the first time, we get to see a bunch of gameplay.

Here’s the official blurb for the trailer, titled “Evening the odds.”

“Scarecrow returns to Gotham City to unite the Rogues Gallery in a master plan to destroy the Batman once and for all. When the citizens of Gotham are forced to flee, the remaining criminal gangs converge to take control of the city. Undermanned and overpowered, Batman aims to even the odds by bringing his legendary Batmobile to the fight. This showdown between criminal masterminds and the Dark Knight will decide the future of the city that Batman is sworn to protect.”

Oh man, this looks good – even if there is only about 10 seconds of actual gameplay in this “gameplay” trailer.  Batman: Arkham Knight is still on track for a world-wide release in October this year, despite earlier reports to the contrary.

Nah, Remember, Origins was by a different Developer, Because Rocksteady were working on Knight. They’ve had almost 3 years to develop, I’m sure it’ll be top notch.

      asylum was something new.
city was good, but felt … stretched thin. side missions were a nuisance more than anything, even if the main story line was great.
tbh, i found that origins was the most playable. smoothest combat, most responsive controls and had a focus that city didnt have.
had it not been for the shitty early DLC packs and reputation for bugs (that I didnt really experience, no more than most games atleast) no one would be complaining.

What he said. I experienced the odd weird bug in the game, but nothing game breaking and certainly not that bad. I don’t know why people were so critical of it. I enjoyed Origins more than City for exactly the same reason as you did. The story was good, some of the boss fights were interesting and the gameplay was solid.

Still don’t get why all the hate towards it.

That Humble sale of Origins really had me second-guessing it. Didn’t plan on buying Origins, but at that price it’s difficult not to.
But Steam Sales have taught me inner strength if anything.

I’m waiting for them to finish releasing DLC for it before I’ll think about buying it.

True. Didn’t even think of that.
But I’m still happily working on my backlog list. And I’m holding my Humble money back until a nice Daily Sale pops up.

tbh, dont bother with the dlc, unless something amazing comes out.
cold cold night was ok, but only because ermagurd new suit, doesnt add really make the game better though, the rest is a waste of time.

the base game is pretty fun though, personally didnt have any game breaking bugs, just one or two that made me restart from checkpoint.

if you see a special and think you might enjoy it, Id take it sooner rather than later.

Steam had it on special for 20$ a while back.
summer sale should be coming up soon though, so it should drop back to that price during that.

I like the look of the game. I bought Arkham Asylum and Arkham City on an Xbox sale. How varied is the combat? And are they open world? I am so tempted to try them, but am unsure. I want to play the game for gameplay. I am not generally a superhero fan. So, how is the gameplay of Asylum and City?

They’re both really good. Awesome stories & voice acting. Combat is very fluid & you can make it as varied as you like depending on how you combine the environment, weapons & gadgets. Stealth take downs are a lot of fun to pull off.

Asylum is fairly linear as it takes place inside the Asylum, whereas in City you get to explore a bit more as it takes place in a wall-off section of the city – it’s not a massive area to roam around in, but you do pick up fun little missions while winging along.
