Hololens is enabling the Minecraft dream of all the fans

Microsoft have created an incredible new genre of gaming with their demonstration of Minecraft being played with the Hololens.

To be honest it’s pretty difficult to explain what we just saw live as it seems impossible.

Once the Hololens was activated the game looked pretty standard while playing with the screen being virtually projected onto the wall but things took a turn for the amazing when they pulled the virtual screen from the wall and instead replicated the entire Minecraft world on a table.

Suddenly the power of the hololens became apparent as the world was rendered in full 3D on the table. You could walk around and check out all the different sections of the world and even lift it up and check what is under ground.

It works seamlessly with the standard minecraft experience so your friends can join your game while you are moving around your virtual world.

With my kids being massive Minecraft fans I can see that there is no way I won’t be splashing out on a Hololens as soon as it hits retail.

To be honest if that demo was real I may start becoming a Minecraft fan myself and you can start to see why Microsoft were so keen to buy the company out entirely.
