I find it kind of hard to believe just how long Bioshock: Infinite has been bubbling away for now. It’s finally out today, and to celebrate, I’m wearing my Bioshock T-shirt…That I got all the way back in August 2011. I’ve got a mug of tea, fresh batteries and the game loaded up. Time to see if all the hype ahs paid off for this particular game.

In Other News: Someone just got fired at Square Enix, The Vita is in Limbo and Spelunking territory, Rain falls at GDC and the Ninja Turtles are revealed.

Here’s the news that we didn’t post today, because we were too busy mending things with a hammer.

It helps when you represent the actual character on the box art. 🙂

I see Tomb Raider has only sold 3.2million and needs to sell 4mill to break even. Also added to Wada resigning. What do they expect when they release a game a few weeks after pay day. SHIT the next payday is only this Thursday or is the first 2 weeks of sales all they look at?

4million games at $60 each. did it cost that much to make?

Yip, and you have to market your game because of the thousands of other generic titles out there. Enslaved only sold 750k because the Japanese have no clue how to market their games over to the West. SAD PANDA.

Then we get Battlefield 3 that had 60mill (the price of a good movie) spent on marketing.

Wada and John have both been overthrown the last month because of poor sales.

Whats the next gen going to be like when there are so few gamers buying games in the first 3 years.

Remember, this gens 2 thirds of gamers only jumped in on the 3rd year.

What do you expect when you have people like Tim Schafer claiming that the marketing budget of AA games like CoD and MW as often being 200% of the ACTUAL GAME DEVELOPMENT COSTS?! This is going, nay, IS killing the industry.

If NAMBLA hires the CoD marketing team they can make pedophilia legal in a month in all 50 states.
