Special editions + bundled helmets = tormented cats the world over. It’s a fact. Just like the fact that I am totally buying the hell out of this edition of Killzone 3. Dubbed the “Helghast Edition”, this beauty includes some amazing bits and pieces fit for any Killzone fan.
First off is the amazing replica of the Helghast helmet, which opens up to reveal additional loot. The helmets worn by the Helghast infantry have become synonymous with the franchise, just like the Spartan helmets have come to represent Halo. But what else is in the magnificent box of glorious goodies?
Obviously you get a copy of the game and the obligatory DLC codes called the “Super Voucherâ€. The voucher enables one to download two multiplayer maps from Killzone 2, a PS3 Dynamic theme, the game’s soundtrack and multiplayer boosts for 24 hours (think double XP and all weapons unlocked from the get-go).
You’ll also get an exclusive art book and bonus video content, but to top off an already awesome package you get a Cloaking Helghast Marksman figure as well. Now THAT is what a collector’s edition should be.
Cost? At the moment all we know is US$129 so it’s safe to say that this will be just over the R1000.00 mark, assuming we get it in South Africa.
