L.A Noire Delayed Again, Says Analyst

L.A Noire, Team Bondi’s take on the stylistic, black and white crime thrillers of the 40s and 50’s has been in development since 2005 – and was supposed to have been out by October of this year. It’s now been delayed. Again.

So when will the former Playstation 3 exclusive finally see a retail release?

According to Evan Wilson, an analyst with Pacific Crest Securities, we won’t be seeing the game until late 2011 – at the earliest. While not official, Wilson’s based it off of chats with retailers, and believes this in his heart to be true.

“We have confirmed the delay of L.A. Noire from fiscal Q4 (Oct.) well into [fiscal] 2011 [November 1, 2010 to October 31, 2011],” he says. “As far as we can tell, Take-Two has not shown the game to retailers.”

Should it make schedule this time around, it will have been in development for at least 6 years – making Gran Turismo 5’s development cycle seem normal. I shudder to think of the money that’s been poured in to this game – and if Team Bondi and Rockstar will ever make it back.
