All creatures evolved from something, if Darwin is to be believed. Or maybe we go the creationist approach and believe it was intelligent design. Whatever you might think, Lost Planet 3 is showing off some weird ancestors of creepy Akrids during its ice age iteration.

Unfortunately, I know nothing about this Akrid other than it is also know as an Ice Crab. That, and the head looks vaguely like a vagina. Yup, now that’s all I see.
Goonroe
Carrying on in the oddly shaped head and mouth category is the Goonroe, a quadrupedal wolf-like Akrid. They primarily pack hunters and rarely seen alone. Using their large mandibles, they crush and eat their prey, which can also be other Akrid.
Tarkaa
Rounding out the head and mouth theme is the Tarkaa, a small Akrid with two mouths – one on its back and one on its underbelly. It has four legs and two arms, but uses its tail to restrict its prey as it pounces to feed. Lovely.

It’s actually a pretty smart trap. If you think about all these types of games most of the characters are men who’ve spent a long time without the company of women, so anything that looks like a vagina is very inviting.
