This year, Dragon Ball Z fans won’t just get to play yet again as their favourite characters, but will be able to rehash the exact same story for the umpteenth time as a brand new character. Which should make things different. Sort of. Maybe. Anyway, details after the jump/nine episodes.
Dragon Ball: Xenoverse is the name of the game that the mysterious new fighter will pop up in. A fighter that the Bandai Namco press release describes as being from the future and wearing perhaps way too many pieces of clothing from various characters:
In Dragon Ball: Xenoverse, the mysterious fighter will be allowed to blast his way into multiple famous battles from Dragon Ball’s illustrious history! Thanks this, gamers will be presented with an unpredictable ‘DRAGON BALL’ experience; perhaps rewriting DRAGON BALL history as we know it! However, numerous questions still remain unanswered, such as: Who is this mysterious stranger wearing the scouter? What is the story behind this new character and why is he talking to Trunks? What is the purpose behind this mysterious room?
Many more secrets will be unveiled over the coming weeks and months as we move ever closer to launching Dragon Ball: Xenoverse… The Future of Dragon Ball promises to be exciting for fans!
Well at least he has awesome hair, which is a massive prerequisite for designing any new character in the Dragon Ball Z franchise. Dragon Ball Xenoverse will be Kame-Hame-Haing at ya soon on PlayStation 4, PS3, Xbox One and Xbox 360.

It really says a lot that I’m excited over ONE new character….DBZ hasn’t been good since Budokai 3. Release a beat em adventure or something, the fighters are getting stale

Ultimate Tenkaichi had custom made characters aswell, so its not really a new thing.
hoefully its a better game than ulimate tenkaichi though, that was trash.
budokai 2 was also my fav, but it didnt get a PS3 HD port, so im stuck with budokai 3 instead.
i hate the way the new DBZ games are all about that “3D moving” thing.
same with the new naruto games, although they do it slightly better
ruins it, bring back the 2D movement based fighters :<

I believe trunks design is based off his dragon ball online thing which was another future kind of thing. I’m hoping the new character is a teaser for more custom characters

Guys this is obviously character customization why would Gohan wear a scouter he can sense energy. There is no point in making a new character to mess up the story. even if it is some type of ssj god future Gohan why would he be a ssj God there was not that many saiyans to make that power, remember they all died by the androids.

Why do everyone say that Budokai 3 is one of the best games..? Yes, the roster was HUGE but the fighting came down to 2 things: awkward combos and Hyper Mode spam. If you ranked up the difficulty high, all you get was the computer SPAMMING Hyper Mode or dodging/blocking everything. You couldn’t beat the computer if it got through with the Hyper Mode attack multiple times since the Dragon Rush was so stupidly implemented (unless computer decides to forfeit the Rush).. I guess it’s the people who don’t ever fight with hardest difficulty in games? I dunno? I always picture some 20 year old who never tried harder difficulties and likes it because of that, I do want challenge from a game that I play but not as an “unfair experience”. I loved Budokai 2 since it was more skillbased rather than luck (most of the time and the story was nice even with the stupid playboard) but I still prefer Budokai Tenkaichi 3 or Raging Blast 2 (none of my friends wanted to play any of them with me so I was a bit of a loner)

Now there are 2 things on why you don’t like it
1:Because its 2 hard for you and you can’t beat it. (I’ve beaten the comp. on the hardest difficulty,it took me a few times but i did it)
or 2: you don’t like it when the comp. wins more than 2 times so you quit.
I’m not trying to offend you or any thing like that those 2 thoughts were just my opinions.
