Microsoft patents automated Door to Door salesman

54 second read

This is possibly my worst nightmare, terminators showing up at my door to talk to me about my future and how they would just like a moment of my time to discuss what God has in store for me.

But fear not it’ isn’t that bad yet, however Microsoft has recently patented Advertars, or virtual robots that will reward you for listening to their marketing speech.

So for example you will be running around Crackdown looking for that last orb and a guy will walk up to you and offer you the position of last orb if you just quickly watch this trailer for a new upcoming movie.

I am instantly disgusted yet strangely drawn towards the idea, being able to pull out my rocket launcher and blow the salesman into little tiny pieces may infact be incredibly therapeutic…

Somehow I don’t think that was what Microsoft had in mind when it patented the idea.
