3 min read

As promised our inaugural Heroes of The Storm tournament has finally arrived. We’ve received eight team registrations, which does make things a whole lot simpler, and we’re going ahead with our first games tomorrow evening! Thank you of course to the teams who took the time to register, with the proper format as well. These are the teams taking part in the tournament.

  • Red Faction ZA
  • Ventus Gaming
  • White Rabbit Gaming (200ms)
  • Energy eSports
  • MDK Gaming
  • Bravado Gaming

  • White Rabbit Gaming (Black Rabbit)

Groups and Schedule

The top four seeds in both groups are awarded to previous results from Heroes of the Storm @ rAge. I understand these teams may have changed in the past few months, but there haven’t been any other tournaments to go by, so this is the best metric.

MDK Gaming Red Faction ZA

As mentioned in previously the group stages will be best of three, with the top two groups moving through to the single-elimination best of three bracket.

Rules and Regulations

Each team captain will be added to a Skype group where you will be able to communicate with your fellow captains and organize your games.

  • A grace period of 15 minutes will be allocated, if the game does not start within 30 minutes of the team who are not ready will be penalized with an automatic map loss, and the match will continue.
  • If you’re unable to make the allocated start time please advise your captain to notify by the admin (myself) AND the opposing team’s captain at least 5 hours before.
  • If you are in need of substitute please notify the admin (myself) at least an hour before the game. Any sub is allowed as long as they are not currently participating in the tournament for another team. If they have been knocked out already then they are eligible for substitution.
  • The only hero which is not allowed in the draft is the newly added Cho’Gall.
  • All teams are to make use of Heroes Draft for the drafting portion of the tournament.
  • Scores are to be reported to the admin (myself) via Skype. Since this is a fun tournament I am going to trust your word. Please overall scores as well. Take a screenshot just in case.

This is a fun tournament, so please don’t take yourselves too seriously. We’re all here to enjoy a tournament and aid the growth of Heroes of The Storm. I have sent out the Skype invites, so please accept as soon as possible!
