I’ll tell you guys a little secret – I’m not a huge sports fan, but I love the NBA. Back in ‘merica, I used to follow it rather religiously. I love the pace of the game, the frenetic energy and the ridiculously large athletes. But the best part is the crazy presenters. All of that is recreated in NBA 2K15.

Here is the new NBA 2K15 trailer. It features actual gameplay, but even cooler is it’s called the Yakkem trailer thanks to the off the wall presenters:

Ernie Johnson and Shaquille O’Neal are featured in the trailer with their bizarre banter as presenters. I wish the awesome and life-like animations were used for them, but their voices more than make up for it. Meanwhile, the animations for the players are fantastic, with the trailer description boasting

NBA 2K15 hits the court with unprecedented life-like graphics, ultra-realistic NBA gameplay, and more. With over 5,000 new animations, NBA 2K15 will provide the most authentic and real gameplay a basketball simulation title has ever delivered.

You can feel much more comfortable watching the trailer – even though the soundtrack was placed firmly in the hands of Pharrell Williams, he didn’t just fill it with hip hop inspired pop tracks. This trailer happily features the funky awesomeness of old-school Red Hot Chilli Peppers. In actual fact, by combining all these things, I think 2K has perfectly captured my teenage self, watching basketball and listening to the RHCP. Looks like I’ll need to pick up this game for that reason alone. Oh, and the fact that it’s going to be the best NBA experience you can get – I wonder how life-like that sweat levels are; those guys are hectic.
