Modern Warfare 3 may be just around the corner, but that doesn’t mean that its time to toss out your copy of Black Ops, as if it was some sort of unwanted birthday gift. Activision still has one more map pack in store for the cold war shooter, and this time, it’s a zombies only affair.
If you’re a fan of the zombie maps in CODBLOPS, then prepare for even more undead action, as players will get to once again play in the popular maps that have been lifted from the previous Call of Duty game, World at War. Nacht der Untoten, Verruckt, Shi No Numa and Der Reise have all been polished and tweaked, with Infinity Ward claiming that players familiar with these levels, are in for a “surpriseâ€.
"If you were introduced to Zombies gameplay with Black Ops, these are the historical maps that will fill in some of the backstory for you, and in addition to updated weapons and polish, they each still have their own surprises to offer."
While the four maps may be remastered versions of what started the whole craze, the fifth will take players straight to the moon, with the rules of engagement being completely different on the lunar surface.
The Rezurrection map pack is priced at 1200 MS points, with an August 23 release date, while downloading the DLC will also a free Xbox dashboard theme and three original songs. Owners of Black Ops hardened and prestige editions will get the map pack for free.
Zombies in space? Sounds like a recipe for success to me.
