Halo, in my humble opinion, is the one game that brought consoles into the mainstream adult population with the incredibly well-written and orchestrated, Halo. In the end Halo became most famous for its online multiplayer but the story side has always been my favourite part of the entire series.
And so when it was revealed that there would be a new TV series entitled Nightfall that will not only take place in the Halo universe but also merge with the upcoming Halo Guardians I got quite excited. However pretty much every film-to-game adaptation has been a disaster with most adaptations the other way being equally horrid. So it’s with a fair dose of apprehension I clicked play on the following video and then ended up boarding the hype train all the way to outer space. Holy cow this is looking incredible.
I’ve never been the biggest fan of the Halo guns but they are distinctive and the TV series has nailed them perfectly. The tiny snippet we get of the Covenant definitely indicates that they are going with a more polished and logical version. I’ve grabbed some screenshots for our video impaired readers. Just look how sexy this all looks.
Halo: Nightfall will be included on the Halo 5: Guardians disc and hopefully if the stars align it will somehow find it’s way onto Netflix and DSTV locally.

Oh so Halo TV makes it onto the finial game disc for Halo 5 but MP (the important part) can’t make it onto a disc in the finial boxed version of Master Chief collection.
So TV is more important than Halo MP – Microsoft

While, ones at rAge was because of the games on display. MS really did deliver on their stand. 2 this last weekend, both cousins of my wife. They spent the day at my house (I was out). When I did speak to the one, he said that he has started using his PS3 again as the PS4 really feels like a downgraded console to him. Besides the fact that it plays better games, everything it does it does worse than the PS3. He has had the PS4 since launch here, and he said the XONE feels like a proper next gen console. He also really loved Ryse.

Not to mention that the PS4 has outsold the Bone 9 months in a row. Money talks so expect 2015 to cater for the PS4.

I really do like my PS4. But MAN I cant stand not knowing the story of Halo anymore. I played all of them bar Halo 4. And being someone who really appreciates a good story I feel like I’m missing out. Destiny (which I still enjoy) is just not scratching the itch (story wise) that I thought it would.

Dont forget Halo TV, Microsoft still need to deliver everything from that crappy launch. I expect Remedy studios might do something eye opening but will require subscriptions for further episodic content via Microsoft TV.
TLOU is all I really give a shit about. If the XBOX had Naughty dog I would have waited out those 9 months before going next gen. Or even Alan Wake 2.
Will wait and see what plans microsoft have but are too afraid to make it public because their marketing skills are basically shit.

Actually it won’t be episodic from what I know. It will be included on Quantum Break’s disk. No subscription service needed except maybe Xbox Live.

It never translated well to PC due to us being spoiled for choice with FPS titles. I played the series on console and actually rather enjoyed it after accepting that I was going to use a controller.
