New Rainbow Six Siege gameplay shown off at Ubisoft’s E3 conference

Rainbow Six Siege was the surprise reveal of Ubisoft’s conference last year. To me, it looks to be a more realistic Counter-Strike, at least when it comes to multiplayer. What about the single player experience though?

First off, it was revealed that actress, Angela Bassett, plays the role of “Six” in the game. Here’s the trailer:

Following a brief chat with Bassett, Genevieve Forget, the Rainbow Six Community Manager, takes the stage to talk a bit about single player. Solo, as well as co-op play will be possible via the game mode, Terrohunt. Here it is in action:

Even though this is all taking place live on the Ubisoft stage, and is likely heavily scripted, it’s obvious that teamwork is essential in Rainbow Six Siege. The performers on stage talk to each other constantly, coordinating their attack into the building riddled with terrorist enemies.

The game is playable at E3. Expect a hand-on preview from us sometime in the near future. It’ll also hit beta on September the 24th later this year for everybody else to try out.

Remember, buying Rainbow Six Siege will reward gamers with a free copy of Rainbow Six Vegas 1 and 2. That’s a pretty neat bonus!
