Nintendo DSi LL selling faster than the PSPGo in Japan

DSiLL[1]

Things like this must really annoy the engineers over at Sony. They spend countless hours researching smaller, faster, better, sexier machines to release onto an unsuspecting public and obviously take great pride in their work due to the quality of the workmanship involved.

Then Nintendo wanders past and simply makes a bigger, uglier, simpler version of their popular Nintendo DSi and blow past Sony in the sales figures without even taking a breath.

In its first weeks Japanese sales the PSPGo managed to shift a mere 28 000 units while the new gargantuan DSi LL had a barn storming 103 524 units taken off the shelves.

I have to admit that I am actually interested in getting one of these for my kids as well, they love my DS and have been asking for one of their own but I’m cheap so they ain’t getting one.

But if they were going to get one I would be looking at the LL with a bigger screen and easier to use buttons instead of the smaller standard DSi.

It just makes more sense as they will only be using it at home or in the car, being grossly oversized for a pocket doesn’t mean anything to them.

You could sell dog poo wrapped in tin foil marked with “DS” on to the Japanese.

People always see my DS and ask “Why didn’t you get a PSP?”
    Man I hate that.
