…So it’s now trying jokes. Nintendo has largely failed to get consumers excited for its newest console, mostly because it’s such a hard hard thing to sell. It really doesn’t make much sense unless you’ve played on one for a considerable amount of time. It’s a message they’ve really struggled to get across – so they’re not using comedy.
Here’s the latest TV spot trying to explain it all. Featuring British comedian Rufus Hound it tries to go the Kevin Butler route. Honestly, I don’t think the Wii U would be in such a pickle if they’d just named the thing differently. Even “Wii 2” would send a clearer message.
