If there’s one game series Nintendo fans really want to see resurrected, it’s Metroid. On the Gamecube, Metroid Prime and its sequels were magical, but the last one, Metroid Other M was…shall we say, divisive. Nintendo did show a new Metroid, but it’s not what anybody wanted or expected.

We’re getting a 4 player co-op mech shooter…thing set in the Metroid universe, that has very little it seems to do with actual Metroid. This is not what we asked for Nintendo. Metroid Prime Federation Force is coming to your 3DS, even though you probably don’t want it to.

The game is set for release on the Nintendo 3DS in 2016

Editor. I'm old, grumpy and more than just a little cynical. One day, I found myself in possession of a NES, and a copy of Super Mario Bros 3. It was that game that made me realise that games were more than just toys to idly while away time - they were capable of being masterpieces. I'm here now, looking for more of those masterpieces.
