The president of Square-Enix, Yoichi ‘Kill-joy’ Wada has told Reuters (via Eurogamer) that we won’t be seeing Final Fantasy XIII in English before April 2010. However, it will be released in Japan on Playstation 3 this year. That exclusivity in Japan will surely push many systems out of the retailers doors as the Xbox360 version development won’t start until the PS3’s development is complete. Even though that is relatively old news, I still have no idea how they will get that right.
Final Fantasy XIII will return to the Active Time Battle system (which I adore) unlike its predecessor, which means many of the RPG purists who called foul with FFXII will be happy again.
(Today was the first time I had ever seen the title art, wow its gorgeous.)

This was pretty much well known imo since the english/360 version would probably be +- 6 months after the the japanese release. (maybe more)
2nd Half 2009 release for the japs and early/mid 2010 for english territories.

Good to know that the Active Time battle system will make a comeback… I hope they they keep the gambit system, I really enjoyed that.

im actually looking forward to that. seeing i already have unifinite discovery and last remnant.:) Hopefully its not as laggy as last remnant dang that tottaly bugs me out. Damn broken engin

Man i heard it was getting released in June so I went and bought a ps3. Now its only coming out next yr 🙁
