No wireless Xbox 360 guitar for Rockband

53 second read

While I, and half the gaming community, am really looking forward to the release of Rockband later this year I am disappointed about some news that I received from EA Games.

While the Wii PS2 and PS3 guitars for Rockband are going to be wireless it seems that they haven’t been able to get the wireless guitars working on the Xbox 360 version. While I don’t know the technical (or political) reasons behind this, I do struggle to understand how it is possible that they couldn’t get wireless to work with a console that has wireless controllers integrated into them?

Never the less that is the case, so I can say that if you are one of the lucky ones who can choose between the 360 or PS3 version, I would recommend going for the PS3 version.

Otherwise you may find yourself face down midway through a song with a bunch of sniggering mates around you.

    Wii version of Rockband?
    Surely you mean ps2? πŸ˜€

Anyway, I have no issues with wired guitars…My electric isn’t wireless, and I manage just fine with that πŸ˜‰

I’m going to be playing the drums only, so, to be perfectly honest, I don’t really care πŸ™‚ . Cannot wait! Finally, a drum set I can get practice on without waking the whole neighbourhood!

Its not unlikely that 3rd party controllers will fix this gap eventually. With that said, any idea on when this game will actually be released in South Africa?
