Now this is sexist game design

Stop. This is not another post about sexism in the gaming industry. I’m totally bored of the entire argument but I saw this video this morning and simply had to post it.

So a game called Dragon’s Crown has been in development for a while and which is being released on the PlayStation 3 and PS Vita tomorrow.

You may have seen the main characters picture floating around because she been designed perhaps slightly overly-sexualised.

Can you see her special ability?

It doesn’t take a genius to see that some women may be offended with how the Sorceress is being portrayed but this isn’t new so we all carried on… but now some gameplay video has been leaked and I have to say this is the most jiggling I’ve seen since Dead or Alive Beach Volleyball.

So yeah is it even possible to concentrate on the game with that going on all over the place?

If you’re not able to watch the video you are missing out but while the image above is slightly stylised over the in-game footage this screen grab shows that it really isn’t much different.

In the video those things could knock you out

Now that’s one classy dame.

I have no idea if this title will be released in South Africa which is good as I could see BT Games being stormed by certain twitter users locally.
