Total war

Do you like amassing an army, organizing it into perfect formation and then smashing your forces against a similarly awesome looking foe? Well, then you probably already have some of the Total War games. But, if you haven’t played them all, or have been waiting for the right moment to try one out, this is your weekend… provided you have a high speed line.

Over on Steam, it’s the free Total War weekend celebrating 15 years of Total War. Here’s the full list of games available:

  • Total War: ATTILA
  • Total War: ROME II – Emperor Edition
  • Total War: SHOGUN 2
  • Total War: Shogun 2 – Fall of the Samurai
  • Napoleon: Total War
  • Empire: Total War
  • Medieval II: Total War

Plus, if you like the games, you can get them at ludicrous discounts this weekend. All except for ATTILA are 75% off while Total War: ATTILA is 33% off. It’s all an excellent offer and a great opportunity for those who are considering picking up Total War: Warhammer to get familiar with the franchise’ mechanics.

However, if you’re interested in grabbing this, you’d better start your download ASAP. These aren’t small games – Total War: SHOGUN 2 requires 22GB of HD space and the download is not much smaller than that. So get your high-speed line working, or download at work, or whatever trick you use to grab games quickly because you only have this weekend to play and you don’t want to spend it watching a loading bar. Total Wait, am I right?
