The Playstation 3’s new tagline – It only does everything – is becoming more and more apt. Taking a feather out of the Xbox 360’s cap (and then summarily poking it in the eye with it), the PS3 will soon also allow North American users to stream Netflix video from the comfort of their couches.
While this of course means nothing to us – with no Netflix support and prohibitively expensive bandwidth fees - it should hopefully make Microsoft sit up and take notice; With the skyrocketing PS3 sales afforded by the recent Slim and the thievery of highly touted “exclusive†features the race for this generation’s coveted 2nd place is getting closer and closer.

Won’t the fact that PSN is supported locally allow us to use this?

No , you will need local Netflix servers which we will probably never get.
