PlayStation 4 first weeks software sales are in

Aw you love me

Oh VGChartz how I’ve missed you. The site that everyone was glued to in the beginning of the current generation lost popularity as it became obvious that the two consoles were following a distinctive pattern in sales.

But now with the new generation upon us we can once again get back into the voyeuristic pleasure that is weekly console sales.

So the first weeks hardware sales were already reported as a million units but what we didn’t know is that the first week was only actually 2 days long making that figure even more impressive. So what games were sold during that time?

1. Call of Duty: Ghosts – 703,638
2. Battlefield 4 – 396,187
3. Killzone: Shadow Fall – 355,148
4. Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag – 345,176
5. Madden NFL 25 – 133,176
6. NBA 2K14 – 111,674
7. Knack – 102,749
8. Need for Speed Rivals – 94,157
9. FIFA Soccer 14 – 77,914
10. LEGO Marvel Super Heroes – 32,188
11. NBA Live 14 – 21,652
12. Skylanders SWAP Force – 18,681
13. Just Dance 2014 – 17,569
14. Injustice: Gods Among Us – 5,143
15. Angry Birds Star Wars – 2,274

What’s incredible about those sales is that Call of Duty: Ghosts scored a 71% attachment rate. So much for those people who were hoping for it to fail this year. BF4 did exceptionally well as with a 40% attachment rate which also shows that half the COD players are also BF4 players.

So much for being competitors I guess.

Personally I’m disappointed that Injustice and Just Dance did so poorly and am actually irritated that Angry Birds is even on the list. That was a $0.99 iPhone game that people are now paying full price for. It’s tragic.

So what do you guys read from the above and which game are you most excited about playing in less than a month?
