Gentlemen, we’ve reached peak pollination between the worlds of movie and video game marketing. Because whoever was in charge for the PR blitz of Avengers: Age of Spadertron that resulted in an army of movie teasers being unleashed to devastating effect on the public, is clearly also handling the PR for Pokémon Sun and Moon.
Because I’m pretty certain that by now, we’ve seen every new pocket monster that there is to see. OR HAVE WE? Because here’s another three of them to look at. Official descriptions via the Nintendo email that I copied and pasted from below, to go with the pictures of these critters for Pokémon Sun and Moon:
Crabrawler
Type: Fighting
Crabrawler is a Boxing Pokémon that really hates to lose. It can be found clinging to buildings with its powerful pincers that also pack a powerful punch, or gathering around trees in search of Berries, its favorite food.
Stufful
Type: Normal/Fighting
Stufful may have a small body, but this Pokémon has extraordinary strength. Despite its cute, fluffy appearance, Stufful dislikes being touched and will flail its arms in protest. Stufful evolves into Bewear.
Sandygast
Type: Ghost/Ground
Sandygast emerges when the grudges of fallen Pokémon soak into the sand after battle, and its tunnel-like mouth can suck the vitality from people and Pokémon. Sandygast also features a new Water Compaction Ability, never before seen in other Pokémon, where its Defense stat goes up by two if it’s hit with a Water-type move. Sandygast evolves into Palossand.
Palossand
Type: Ghost/Ground
Palossand disguises itself as a sandcastle, with its shovel on top serving, it is believed, as a radar to search out prey. Unsuspecting small Pokémon are dragged into Palossand’s body through its sandy vortex so it can steal their life force.
I’m so naming that Sandygast after Alessandro when I catch one. And then evolve it into Palossandro. Pokémon Sun and Moon is out in November, and if you feel like being spoiled then don’t forget to check out that Pokedex that I’ve been running and updating like a madman lately. Gotta spoiler ‘em all!

Lol they really have stopped trying with the Pokemon designs. From rehashing 1st generation Pokemon into new forms to the worst starter Pokemon designs I’ve ever seen & now a sandcastle Pokemon!
I don’t understand why there is a need for a whole bunch of new Pokemon each generation. Introduce a handful of new ones & focus on the gameplay & story because those need the most work. Would make catching them all less daunting & a better story would maybe make the games a bit more interesting.

I don’t understand how people can’t agree with that sentiment. It’s getting ridiculous. I don’t blame them because there are over 700 of these critters so it’s bound to hit a dead end at some point. I just wish they would change their strategy with these games. And release a proper 3D adventure on a console. Then Pokemon would really be the epic adventure it was always meant to be.

Agreed, you try coming up with close to 800 designs. What we must commend GameFreak for here, is changing things up. So in addition to 100+ new Pokemon, we’re getting a totally reworked game – no gyms, no elite four. I think this game is a breath of fresh air, or do you want another cat Pokemon?
