I have played Evolve in two places, on PC during a special demo, and on PS4 for review. I only have one PS4, so I haven’t been able to test this, but apparently if you move between consoles, you’re going to have a bad time with Evolve.
According to Kotaku, if you chop and change between console (for example at various houses), you will actually lose all your progress. That’s right, your level, your perks and unlocked characters will get totally wiped away. For a game with so much grinding, this is a serious problem. Developers had indirectly told Kotaku that they’re aware of the problem and working on it, although there’s no official word just yet.
I have to wonder what the point of creating a 2K account was. The mobile game doesn’t actually seem to send over the perks like it promises, and it doesn’t even save your unlocks or perks in the cloud. So, um, what exactly does it do?
In the meantime, if you’re playing Evolve on multiple platforms you may want to practice safe gaming until they fix this. Or, you know, console monogamy. How many of you actually own multiple consoles? I would love to get a second console, but it won’t be another PS4 – it would be an Xbox One.

I got a PS3 and PC, but i cant decide between PS4 or Xbox 1, so i am waiting until Microsoft release more info on cross-play and DX12 and if the xbox will ever reach 1080p.

Weeeeeeel… Of all the things that COULD have gone wrong this is pretty small an issue if you really think about it.
I mean yeah, it wipes if you jump between platforms sure. But how many people are actually going to chop and change between platforms that often? Not saying people won’t, but for a new release…. I’m surprised it didn’t have more issues
