PSA: The Witcher 3 pre-load now live on Steam and GoG.com

Are you part of the PC master race? Do you have a copy of The Witcher 3? Then do I have news for you! It’s that special time – you can now unleash the best on your bandwidth.

People often complain about pre-load times. It’s something that’s been around for ages for PC gamers (still new for the console fans), but for those who don’t have excellent download speeds, even pre-loading doesn’t always ensure that the game is ready to play at launch. Well fear not, this shouldn’t be the problem with The Witcher 3.

It’s officially time to start your downloads as pre-loading is open on Steam and GoG.com; if you are one of the million pre-orders, you can start downloading the game so that it’s ready to play on 19 May when it’s released into the wild. The Wild Hunt is almost upon us. Now for the console gamers to get the same courtesy.

Will you be downloading the game? If you’re one of the sorry people (like me) with ridiculously slow download speeds at home, you may want to download somewhere else or arrange some file sharing with those who have faster speeds. In fact, feel free to make arrangements here – it always warms my heart to see you all meet up and share files over beer or whatever other beverages. Beer, burgers and file sharing – see, local infrastructure does help bring people together… right?
