walking dead (1)

As far as games go, I’ve got to be honest and admit that I didn’t think that much of The Walking Dead. As far as stories go however, Telltale Games managed to craft something spectacular with that episodic series where not having your flesh dined upon by zombies was a priority. Time for season two of those games to kick things up a notch.

Announced on the PS Blog, season two of The Walking Dead will have players controlling Clementine, who survived the events of the first series.

There’ll be five episodes that kick the season off this year, continuing into 2014. Buy ‘em seperately or get a season pass as the games release.

It’s on the backlog. I think I’ll play it when I’m done with MP3.

I’d even go as far as to say that the game series trumps the comic books and the TV series. I mean I’ve been reading the comics for well over 3 years, but ever since issue 69 or so, it’s been dragging its heels. The worst one was issue 100 – just felt so cheap and contrived. :/

Now, the game… Oh momma! Very cool! (Just stay away from the crap Activision made starring Merle and Darryl…)

I can’t wait! I’ve enjoyed the latest Telltale game, The Wolf among us, but Walking Dead is where the love is! I just want to see what the fallout is from my latest playthrough of Season 1…

I look forward to trying it out also. I’m not totally into the ‘it’s actually a movie’ game scene but have head such great things about this. Oh, here’ s a pic for you! 😉

It’s not that much different from Heavy Rain, but I think Telltale really outshine them with Walking Dead. I still want to play their Back to the Future series. I got it free through PSN+ but lost all the saves when my harddrive failed a while back.

Similar genre – same point-and-click gameplay but definitely different in tone. The Wolf Among Us is based on the Bill WIllingham’s DC/Vertigo Fables comic series.

Then give Telltale’s Walking Dead a chance. Do it! DO IT!! Quickly, don’t even pack up your stuff, just leave the office, tell the boss he has tiny girl balls (hehehe The Heat – AWESOME SCENE) and drive home for some gaming!

Just looking at those pics makes me so scared for Clementine without Lee to protect her, to qoute someone from the Telltale forums, Lee is probably the best guy in the Walking Dead universe selfless to a flaw.
