Shadow Complex, the new side scrolling 2.5D platform shooter from Epic Games and Chair Entertainment hits XBLA “shelves” this week.

Reviews are coming in and from the looks of it, this is going to be one of the first truly must-have XBLA titles, as many reviewers seem to even feel the need to compare it to fully priced titles.

The game is raking in a massive Metacritic score of 91/100 with sites like IGN saying that it is “One of the best games yet in 2009. And I’m not just talking about the Xbox Live Arcade. The classic, exploration-heavy gameplay is a winner.”

Shadow Complex is going to set you back 1200 MS Points and from the looks of things, it will be well worth every single point. Xbox.com makes no mention of the exact download size but one of the reviews mentions that it is over 800MB.

We have seen some really great arcade titles this year and this looks like its going to be the perfect cherry on top.
