Still no Online Heists for GTA V

Heist

Remember that incredible trailer for GTA V’s online features way before the game was released? That essentially sold me on Grand Theft Auto with its hints and promises of co-operative online heists. The game was released in October last year without any online functionality at all; that was all patched in later. Three quarters of a year on, and we’re still waiting for online heists. Originally planned for release this autumn, it’s unfortunately been delayed.

“We know many fans have been eagerly awaiting the release of the Online Heists that we had planned to release for you this spring, and they are taking more time to create than originally anticipated,” Rockstar said in a post about the I’m Not a Hipster” update that’s hitting GTA online instead of the much anticipated Online Heists.

“We are very sorry for the delay, and are working hard to bring them to you as soon as we can. Please know that we are focused as always on making the best possible content for you to play and we are thankful to all of you for your patience, understanding and support.”

It’s cool that Rockstar is continuing to support the game, but I think most people are past GTA V by now. Of course, the game will soon be coming to the new consoles and PC along with a visual upgrade. If you haven’t played the game yet, I certainly recommend picking it up for those platforms when it is available, then you can join everyone else in waiting for Online Heists.

Do you still play GTA V online? Are you waiting for Online Heists?

Shouldn’t really be a problem, honestly. Just make sure you save all the files you alter. I usually just change the extension to .old, so I always have the previous version in the directory.

            Here is my rebuttal.

Owning a car is the reason for E-Tolls.

Finished the SP, tried the MP, was broken at first and then boring. Traded the game the next day. Don’t fuck around Rockstar you’re better than this.

They’re either not able to combat hackers and keep the integrity of their online mode up, or they want to fuck us and use heists as a carrot on a stick to distract us from the fact that all DLC so far has been “Here’s a gun and a few cars you wont use.” C’mon R*

Online was rather dull… Single Player was ok. Only high point of GTA 5 was the gun play.

It was released on September 17 and Online was released on October 1st. There are still a lot of people that are playing Online and there always will be. I’d like to see any of you try to create a game that’s similar to GTA V without running into problems. PS3 and Xbox 360 do have limits, I expect great things from PS4, Xbox One and PC and I know that Rockstar will blow us away with the next gen versions of GTA V.

Still play daily, still love it. If you got a couple mates to play with then no game comes close to gta online. Last night we got limos and had an epic party.went to the docks and we all sailed on a yacht then back in the limos and off to the strip club. Finally we finished the Eve with a drunken bmx session in the early hours of the morning, watched the sun rise and then hit the showers to get all that stripper glitter off.. if you bored then you ain’t got no imagination, so just f off and play ghosts, no one will miss you. . And rockstar couldn’t care less because you’re a dime a dozen.

I no longer play. Online could have been a masterpiece, but is instead little more than a vehicle for Rockstar to push microtransactions.

At this point i’m reserved to say screw it and never play gta online again. They’ve already lost out on this opportunity and frankly if anyone thinks that they’re going to put this on console versions at this point, then people are freaking nuts. The game’s been out long enough for people to get tired of it, and then some. Adding one feature (while probably ignoring the enormously annoying bugs that still exist) is not going to change anything, especially if it turns out to be total crap. So, Rockstar, at this point, heists better be f’ing gold plated platinum quality with a very high return on in-game money, anything less and I won’t waste my time with it anymore.
