Sweet irony, the E3 trailer for Watch Dogs has leaked

2013 is shaping up to be the year of the sandbox game I reckon. GTA returns after a multi-year absence, Saints Row 4 looks like it’s taking crazy to a new level and Assassin’s Creed 4 is most likely going to drive me mad with pirate speech. But it’s Watch Dogs that has me most excited for that genre. And according to its leaked E3 trailer, it’s got some ambitious ideas up its anonymous sleeve.

Big, brooding and most likely costing an arm and a leg to produce, the latest trailer for the game pulls no punches. I like the idea of lead character Aiden Pearce using the electronic soup of the urban jungle to his advantage, and I can only hope that what we see here translates fluidly into the actual game itself.

So, do you still think that you’re safe?
